Your Idyllic Beachfront Airbnb Retreat

We got to meet Kathleen during our check in, and we were even able to check in early! She was so kind, helpful and friendly! The location was awesome being across the street from the beach! We walked everywhere & had a great time! We definitely plan to come back and stay here!

Perfect location. Across the street from the beach. Right next to dog beach. Walkable location. Kathleen was a great host and very accommodating . The place was comfortable and we had everything we need. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a fantastic stay at Kathleens place this past week! The location is phenomenal for OB and you’re within walking distance of everything—the beach, dog beach, and all of the great restaurants and bars. Place is as described and Kathleen had tons of beach chairs and toys available. Kathleen was a great hostess and was very communicative and available for anything i needed during my stay. Will definitely be back!!

I've now stayed at Kathleen's place 4 times! That's how much I love it! Finding a place close by the dog beach with everything you need- why would I stay anywhere else when I visit ocean beach?! Will definitely be staying again!

Kathleen’s place was a great location had everything we wanted for a dog friendly beach vacation trip!!! couldn’t be much closer to dog Beach as well as the normal beach walkable to Newport Avenue and the pier and all the restaurants in the neighborhood. The view was awesome. Front patio was great to kick back and people watch. Very friendly host that allowed us an early check in,which really helped with our travel plans informative and friendly would definitely recommend staying here for a couple or a couple and a small child especially with a fur buddy for a beach trip!!!!!

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful oceanfront property! The space was clean, charming, and well kept, with everything I needed — a comfortable queen-sized bed, a full kitchen, a bathroom with a relaxing tub, and a lovely outdoor area perfect for lounging. It was such a bonus that the property is dog-friendly, especially being within walking distance to both a dog beach and a dog park! The neighborhood is beautiful, fun and peaceful, and it was so convenient to walk to great restaurants nearby. The host was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and a pleasure to chat with. I made such special memories during my visit and will definitely be coming back!

We loved our stay at Kathleen's!!! Great location right across the street from the beach for our older dog to walk to easily. Kathleen is wonderful helpful and a complete pleasure, communication was easy. Could not have asked for a better host. But what we liked the best and appreciated most about this beach cottage was the original retro aesthetics. Kathleen's father built this cottage with the help of the fire department and she has kept it's sweet vibe of OB's past of simpler times. It reminded my husband (OB native) of the cottage his grandfather built with the fire department around that same time. We are looking forward to staying again soon!

An awesome location, so close to the dog beach. My pup and I spent many hours at the beach but also on the front patio just soaking up the sun and the cool OB vibe. I mentioned to Kathleen that there was no aluminum foil and she had some delivered within the hour. She is super attentive and always available. We will certainly be staying at her place on our next trip to San Diego.

Kathleen was really responsive and accommodated us on a last-minute booking! The space is thoughtfully set up (nice touches like having both dish soap and hand soap in the kitchen) and very comfortable. The a/c is powerful and kept us very comfortable! My only note is that I thought this place would have a private outdoor area and the outdoor area was communal. However, being across the street from the beach, that was not a big problem.

Loved being right across from the beach! Kathleen was very helpful and provided a whole bunch of beach equipment too. Place was small and simple but had everything we needed.
