This beautiful beach front home was built in 1958. Red oak floors, a vaulted wood ceiling, a brick fireplace, and beautiful tiled bathrooms and kitchen make it a showpiece home. You are on the second story with a panoramic view all the way from La Jolla to the Ocean Beach Pier. The beach is just steps away. There are many amenities nearby including bike rentals, a lovely park, shops and restaurants within walking distance. But the one thing you will enjoy most is the magnificent view. All the way from La Jolla to the Ocean Beach pier. Which, by the way, For the first time this home is being offered for you to enjoy. Your hostess, Kathleen, grew up in this home and she lovingly restored it, adding modern features such as smart t.v.'s, Internet, a modern gas range and oven, a washer and dryer, soundproof windows, and fun furniture. You and your family will make memories for years to come enjoying the fun and sun, and experiencing a bit of Ocean Beach history.

Other Details to Note

There is Internet access and wifi with 3 T.V.'s. There is a king size bed, a queen, a set of bunk beds and a twin futon. There are also fold out sleeping cushions and a large comfy couch. We have beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and sand toys available. The beach and park area are right in front, please be aware that drinking alcohol and or smoking are not allowed in those areas. We allow tobacco to be smoked outside on property but we do not allow pot to be smoked. Two lifeguard towers are out front. The main station is down by the pier.

House rules

I want you to have a good time but this is not a frat house. No keg parties or events. No pot smoking. If you are coming to get drunk, party and smoke dope find a different place. There are long term residents on property and guests staying in the apartment directly underneath you. Do not let your children run back and forth across the floor. Do not bounce balls or other objects on the floor. Quiet time is 11 p.m. To 8 a.m. If you are playing music so loud that it can be heard outside then it is too loud. Be respectful and clean up after yourself. That means do the dishes, vacuum and take out the trash. Wash your feet off before you come into the house. Don't sit on the furniture with a wet bathing suit. Put a towel under you. Do not take bath towels outside, There are extra beach towels in the garage if you need some. Do not climb, play or sit on the surfboards. Do not bring animals of any kind into the house. Do not flush items such as paper towels, sanitary napkins, diapers, etc down the toilet. Do let us know immediately if you need anything or are having any kind of problem. We will do everything in our power to help. We want you to have a wonderful time in this amazing home.

Accessibility

Neighborhood

Ocean Beach seems so removed, but it is actually 15 minutes from everything. Sea World, the Zoo, Cabrillo National Monument, the airport, downtown San Diego. You won't need a car once you arrive as everything in Ocean Beach is within walking distance. There is so much to do, biking surfing ,sailing, tennis, a skateboard park, fishing, shops,restaurants and breweries.

Guest access

There is a drive way in which you and your guests may park. It holds 4 to 5 cars. The patio has a shaded area with comfy chairs, lighting and a BBQ. There is a hose to wash off the sand before coming into house.

Find us

There are bus stops, and the famous San Diego Trolley is fairly close. The best way to get around Ocean Beach is by bicycle or scooter. The best way to get around San Diego is by Uber or Lyft.
